OpenTrust Reinforces its Offer with Badge Management Software
OpenTrust Reinforces its Offer with New Badge Management Software to be Unveiled at the European Security and Information System Congress, Monaco on 15th & 16th October.

Paris, 24 September 2008 – OpenTrust, European Leader in trust infrastructures for secure electronic transactions, announces the release of new Badge Management software, the latest addition to its flagship Trust and Security Suite.

Used in conjunction with OpenTrust SCM, OpenTrust’s card & token lifecycle management software, OpenTrust BMS (Badge Manager Station) adds flexibility to the OpenTrust software suite through new functions including badge formatting, personalized printing of badges and face-to-face enrollment for badging offices.

"OpenTrust Badge Manager" provides the market with a long awaited solution where logical and physical security are combined on a single secure device: the Common Access Card.

Software features and functions are divided into two main categories:

•     Pre-personalization functions
  • Card pre-personalization: for example, initialization of PUK or SOPIN code
  • Badge formatting
  • Pre-personalized printing: two-sided printing, pre-printing of non-dynamic information on card (Hotline number etc.),
•    Badging Office functions:
  • Enrollment in face-to-face mode: the manager invites the user to the badging office and the enrollment procedure is performed in face-to-face mode using a secure KeyPAD to finalize the process.
  • Personalized printing of card: printing of dynamic information on card (photo, family name, first name etc.)

All cards supported by the software (Gemalto, Oberthur, Aladdin, G &D) are personalized in a pre-personalization office before being dispatched to corporate badging offices for distribution and « face-to-face » user enrollment.

The new solution will be unveiled at the European Security and Information System Congress held in Monaco from 15th – 18th October 2008.
