C3I: OPENTRUST CUSTOMERS' CLUB

The OpenTrust Customers' Club was founded 5 years ago. Regular meetings, to which all members are invited to attend, give members the opportunity to share their ideas and security concerns directly with OpenTrust and thus contribute to the the development of the roadmap for future versions of OpenTrust solutions. A customer under license and in possession of a valid maintenance contract for an OpenTrust product automatically becomes a member of C3i.  The Club currently includes members from over 80 key European corporate accounts and government administrations, including:

Total, Michelin, Areva, Alstom, Technip, Sanofi Aventis, Renault Nissan, Oberthur Cards Systems, Allianz/AGF, Crédit Agricole, Caisse d'Epargne, National Bank of Belgium, Mobistar, Atos EuroNext, as well as the French Customs, and Ministries of Agriculture, Finance and the Swiss Ministry of Defense.

"As a solution, OpenTrust looks to meet the needs of access, exchange and applications by enabling members of its OpenTrust Contributing Customers Club (C3I) to contribute according to their needs. The company does take a different approach to providing access to OpenTrust source code, by restricting access to members of C3I. However, I view this as being akin to the strategy of dual licensing, where open source companies only provide the source code for the enterprise versions to paying customers. It may not be not 'pure open source,' but a balance is struck between protecting company IP and pushing out the value of an open code base to customers."
